Plastic pallet manufacturers: the main ones by market

Updated on · ROLL technical team

In briefMarket reports most often name about ten large European and North American groups, plus a few manufacturers that are strong in a single country, in Asia, Africa and Oceania. Here you will find them in tables by region, in alphabetical order, with a link to the official website and one verifiable fact for each.

If you are looking for plastic pallet manufacturers, here are the names that market reports cite most often, grouped by region, with the official website and one fact you can check.

World map with the locations of the main plastic pallet manufacturers by continent
Where the manufacturers on this page are based: most are in Europe and North America.

How we built the list

We started from the 'key players' lists published in six market reports:

  • Grand View Research [1]
  • Technavio [2]
  • IMARC [3]
  • Mordor Intelligence [4]
  • Data Bridge [5]
  • QYResearch [6]

We then checked each company's website for confirmation that it makes plastic pallets itself.

There are three rules:

  • Only companies that make plastic pallets are included. Those that make only wooden pallets or only distribute are left out.
  • At least one external source is needed (a report or the trade press). Where the reports do not reach, as in Italy, Africa and Oceania, we say so and use company websites.
  • No invented ranking. None of the public reports we read gives verifiable market shares for individual companies, so the order is alphabetical.

Nobody paid to appear. ROLL is not on the list because it does not make general-purpose pallets: we work on packaging for reels and rolls, and among flat pallets we offer only three models for our customers. If your problem is shipping reels, the right page is the one on reel pallets.

Europe

In Europe the reports mainly cite manufacturers based in Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland. In 2025 two groups in the sector merged [7].

In Italy

No Italian plastic pallet manufacturers appear in the international reports we read. These three state that they manufacture in-house, and we checked this on their websites or in third-party sources.

In Europe the most frequently cited manufacturers cover every class, from lightweight nestable to heavy-duty H1 hygienic.

North America

This is the market with the most companies cited in the reports. Almost all are based in the United States and work mainly with the 48×40 inch size.

The reports also name other US companies [1–3] that we have not put in the table: from public sources we could not work out how much they manufacture in-house.

Asia

Here the reports cite few names, while there are thousands of manufacturers, above all in China. Many of the Chinese 'top 10' lists you find online are written by the manufacturers themselves: we did not use them.

Company Country Speciality Verifiable fact Website
Enlightening Pallet Industry China Export pallets, pallet boxes Plants in Shanghai and Ningbo, as stated by the company [19]. Cited in [2] cnplasticpallet.com

Supreme Industries India Injection and rotational moulded HDPE and PP pallets Material handling division active since 1987 [21] supreme.co.in

Africa and the Middle East

We found no public reports listing manufacturers in this region. The two names below have production documented by the trade press or on the company website.

Company Country Speciality Verifiable fact Website
Mpact (Mpact Plastic Containers) South Africa Hygienic and nestable pallets Three plants: Atlantis, Brits and Castleview [24] mpact.co.za
Plasgad Israel Reusable packaging, plastic pallets Two production sites in Israel and one in the USA (2019) [23] plasgad.com

South America and Oceania

For South America and Mexico we found no independent source naming the main manufacturers. Plenty of companies call themselves 'the largest manufacturer in Brazil', but without a fact we can check we do not cite them.

In Australia the only report we found cites only foreign groups, already included in the tables above [25]. Two companies state that they manufacture locally:

Company Country Speciality Verifiable fact Website
Ozkor Australia Injection-moulded pallets, sale and hire Based in Blacktown (NSW), manufactures in Australia [26] ozkor.com.au
Veeco Pallets Australia Recycled plastic pallets Active since 1995, more than a million pallets supplied according to the company [27] veecopallets.com.au

Rental and pooling: companies that rent rather than sell

Pooling operators keep ownership of the pallets: they deliver them to you, collect them at destination and repair them. Not all of them use plastic: the Pallets column shows which do.

Operator Region Pallets Verifiable fact Website

In pooling the pallet stays with the operator: you pay for the service, the operator collects and repairs it.

Pooling also matters for the PPWR: from 2030, anyone who uses pallets for transport must have at least 40% of them reusable within a re-use system, unless an exemption applies [39]. You will find the details in the guide to reusable pallets and the PPWR; to see when renting costs less than buying, read renting or buying plastic pallets.

How to choose a supplier

The name matters less than what the supplier puts in writing. Before you ask for a quotation, check four things.

  1. The data sheet with ISO 8611 tests. The standard sets the test methods for flat pallets [37]. Ask for the static, dynamic and racking load capacities with the test conditions. In pallet racking the pallet spans two beams and what counts is the racking load, the lowest of the three; on a solid shelf or on the floor it rests on a surface and the static (stationary) and dynamic (in handling) loads apply. The guide to plastic pallet load capacity explains how to read them, and the one on specification and testing what to write in the order.
  2. The declaration for food contact. If the pallet touches the product, you need the declaration of compliance required by Article 16 of Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 [38]. More on this on the page on hygienic pallets.
  3. The recycled content. The PPWR requires minimum shares of recycled plastic in packaging [39]. Ask for the percentage and whether the recycled material is post-consumer or production scrap.
  4. Where the mould is. An empty pallet takes up space and costs money to ship. A manufacturer with a plant nearby can work out cheaper, all things considered, than a lower list price on the other side of the world; compare delivered prices, as we explain in the guide to plastic pallet prices.

The data in the tables comes from the sources shown, in the version we consulted, and may have changed: for quotations and decisions, what the company tells you is what counts. Names and trademarks are cited for descriptive purposes only; none of the companies listed is connected with ROLL or with this site.

Frequently asked questions

Who are the main plastic pallet manufacturers in the world?

Market reports most often name a small group of manufacturers based in Western Europe and the United States: you will find them in the tables on this page, in alphabetical order. None of the public reports we consulted gives verifiable market shares for individual manufacturers, so there is no reliable ranking by plastic pallet revenue.

Are there plastic pallet manufacturers in Italy?

Yes. Some companies state that they manufacture in Italy, in Lombardy and Veneto, and one company moulds pallets from polyAl recycled from beverage cartons: you will find them in the table for Italy. Many sellers, including reliable ones, sell pallets moulded by others: if you want to know who makes the pallet, ask where the mould is.

What is the difference between a manufacturer and a pooling operator?

A manufacturer sells you the pallet and it becomes yours. A pooling operator keeps ownership of the pallets, rents them to you, collects them at destination and repairs them. Several European pools work only with wooden pallets, while in the United States there is at least one pool that uses only plastic pallets: the operators are listed in the pooling table.

Why is ROLL not on this list?

Because ROLL does not make general-purpose plastic pallets. ROLL specialises in packaging for industrial reels and rolls, and among flat pallets it offers only three models for its own customers: PP69, PPH1 and PP08. If you need standard pallets, you are better off talking to one of the manufacturers listed here.

How do I check that a supplier really is the manufacturer?

Ask for the data sheet with tests to ISO 8611, the address of the plant where the pallet is moulded and, for food, the declaration of compliance required by Regulation (EC) 1935/2004. A manufacturer answers with data from its own mould; a reseller often refers you to someone else's catalogue.

Does this list include paid placements?

No. No company paid to appear and none saw the page before publication. The companies are in alphabetical order, chosen because at least one market report or trade press source names them or, where the reports do not reach, because they state on their own website that they manufacture in-house.
